How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

📅 Last updated: April 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ApexPets collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from apexe.shop (the “Site”). By using our Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

🏠 Who We Are

Our website address is: https://apexe.shop. We are ApexPets, a custom pet portrait store dedicated to celebrating every pet through handcrafted, personalized artwork.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, you can reach us at support@apexpets.com.

📋 Information We Collect

Device Information

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser type, IP address, time zone, and cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect information about the pages or products you view, referring websites or search terms, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this as “Device Information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • Cookies — data files placed on your device that often include an anonymous unique identifier. Learn more or opt out at allaboutcookies.org.
  • Log files — track actions on the Site, including your IP address, browser type, ISP, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.
  • Web beacons, tags, and pixels — electronic files used to record how you browse the Site.

Order Information

When you make or attempt to make a purchase, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this as “Order Information”.

When we refer to “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we mean both Device Information and Order Information combined.

Email & Text Marketing

With your permission, we may send you emails or SMS messages about our store, new products, and other updates — including Checkout Reminders.

💬 Comments & Media

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser User-Agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After approval, your profile picture is visible to the public next to your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the Site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the Site can download and extract any location data from images.

🍪 Cookies

If you leave a comment on our Site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Third-party cookies: We may also use third-party cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors interact with our Site, helping us improve your experience.

🔗 Embedded Content from Other Sites

Pages on this Site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content — including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to those websites.

⚙️ How We Use Your Information

We use the Order Information we collect to fulfill orders placed through the Site — including processing payments, arranging shipping, and sending invoices or order confirmations. We also use this information to:

  • Communicate with you about your order;
  • Screen orders for potential risk or fraud;
  • Provide you with product updates or marketing communications, in line with your stated preferences.

We use Device Information to screen for risk and fraud (particularly IP address) and to improve and optimize the Site — for example, by generating analytics about how customers browse and interact with the Site.

🤝 Sharing Your Information

We share your Personal Information with trusted third parties only as needed to provide our services. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, or otherwise protect our rights.

🗄️ How Long We Retain Your Data

When you place an order through the Site, we maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and auto-approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For registered users, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your Rights

If you have an account on this Site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you — including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share about you, and to request deletion of your personal information. To submit a request, contact us at support@apexpets.com.

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Order data is transmitted to our fulfillment and payment partners as described above.
